Golf Club Pragelato
9 holes Via Rohrbach, n.5 Fraz Plan - Pragelato (TO), TO
The Pragelato Golf course is certainly among the most evocative and interesting mountain GOLF fields, located at 1600 m.
in the plain at the beginning of Val Troncea on the Olympic cross-country track, it allows enthusiasts to experience a splendid day of golf, nature and wellness. The nine holes of the Golf Pragelato denote a classic "Routing" ring, with a "par 36 standard" (72 for the round with 18 holes) and with a total length of approximately ml 2876.
The characteristic of Pragelato Golf is that of a fascinating mountain course for the climate and the landscape offered to the player, without forcing him to go crazy and demanding slopes; the route, in fact, since it is located on the plain at the entrance to the Troncea valley on the Olympic cross-country track, is physically barely demanding for the average trained player because there are limited ups and downs between the various holes, however contained at a total height difference of about 40 m.
The path that takes place between the lower level of 1550 m.s.l.m. and the upper level of 1590 m.s.l.m., is the result of a studied and balanced union between the intrinsic technical characteristics of the Golf and the local environmental and landscape features. All external to the course of the game, the current condition of the uncultivated and graminaceous pastures has been maintained - so-called rough (uncultivated) which strongly recalls the nature and the intrinsic conformation of the original dune routes.
To pay homage to the area and the environment that hosts the Golf Pragelato, the holes have been named after the species of flora and fauna that characterize the Site of Community Importance (SIC) Val Troncea. A splendid combination of sport and nature, thanks to the Piedmont Region - Culture, Tourism and Sport Directorate, which financed the work through the tender on the L.R. 4/2000
